As all athletes know, injuries are pretty much unavoidable. While Nadia was participating in the World Championships, she cut her wrist on a grip buckle. She was taken to the hospital right away and she was told not to continue competing in the games. However, Nadia was a determined individual and she chose not to follow the doctor’s advice. She rushed back to the competition and managed to bring home the gold medal!
