Béla Károlyi
Béla Károlyi was a longtime sports fan and he started out in hammer-throwing. He later became a champion in the sport but ultimately decided to go into coaching instead. In the beginning, he coached junior boxers but things changed when he met Márta Károlyi. This was the time that he decided to go into gymnastics instead and the pair regularly looked for young talent.
