Summer Olympics
Four months later, Nadia made a name for herself during the 1976 Olympic Games. We daresay that Nadia was able to dominate the field and she even left everyone in attendance stunned with her performance. She managed to earn a total of six perfect scores of 10! She was able to break world records and ended up becoming the first gymnast to have ever earned that amount of perfect scores in history.
Confusion In The Crowd
The feat was so amazing that everyone must have been at a loss for what to do next. There were several minor little hiccups that occurred, though we are sure they were harmless. Omega SA, the digital scoreboards manufacturer, did not make the boards with the ability to show “10” as it was generally deemed impossible. The display therefore showed “1.00” instead of “10” much to the confusion of everyone in the crowd. Of course, this only lasted a couple of seconds until they realized what it truly meant.
