In a short amount of time, the adoption agency was able to find a match for the Halberts. They were positive that they had made of the best decisions ever! The couple was so in love with two kids- a baby boy and a girl that were of African-American descent. Their decision was effortless when they made the choice to adopt both children. Ford and Catherine were adopted and were welcomed with huge smiles and open arms. Aaron and Rachel were over the moon but knew there would be many struggles in their journey ahead with regards to having an ethnically diverse family. Despite their worries, they had faith that they could get through anything.

Nonetheless, a friend of theirs notified them about embryo adoption and suggested that they look into it, they saw this as a sign. They investigated further and educated themselves on the topic as it was the first time they had ever heard about anything like this.
